Here’s another version of Apple Crisp we think you will find tasty:
Oatmeal Apple Crisp

- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 cup quick rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- Non-stick cooking spray

You can see that the basic ingredients are the same, but you can add or subtract items, like the oats, to make the topping more or less crumbly and thick. You can also make apple crisp with canned apple pie filling, but the fresh varieties really add a lot of flavor to this apple crisp recipe.
You can also make the same recipe with many other summer and fall fruits, like peaches, pears, plums, cherries, and others. Experiment with the fruits you choose, and try serving it with a rich, vanilla-bean ice cream for an extra treat.
There’s nothing like a hot, fresh apple crisp hot out of the oven to make any meal complete, so don’t wait to make this easy dessert for your family – try it tonight!
